A botanical bas-relief panel, hand-cast in plaster from lily-of-the-valley gathered in my own garden.
The flowers were picked in May, when the bells had opened but before they began to turn. Lily of the valley is a difficult plant to cast, the stems being so fine, and this panel has held them well, down to the slight curve where each bell hangs from the stalk. The plant itself does not remain in the finished piece. What remains is the impression it left.
Each piece is cast by hand and is one of a kind. Small differences in surface, colour and edge are part of how the material records the plant.
15 x 15 x 1.5 cm. It is intended to be wall-mounted, and it hangs from a nail or screw so that it sits flush with the wall, but you can also stand it on a tabletop easel.
This panel comes gift-boxed. The outer packaging is generally repurposed.
Care. Dust with a soft dry brush rather than a damp cloth, and no household cleaners. Plaster is for indoor use only.
Postage is calculated by weight at checkout. I aim to post within 5 working days, and it is often sooner. If anything is delayed, I will email you.
