A botanical bas-relief panel, hand-cast in terracotta using wildflowers, including poppies and toadflax, gathered from my own garden.
The plants themselves do not remain in the finished piece. What remains is the impression they left. Each piece is cast by hand and is one of a kind. Small differences in surface, colour and edge are part of how the material records the plant.
This is a 19cm diameter circle. It is intended to be wall-mounted, and it hangs from a nail or screw so that it sits flush with the wall, but you can also stand it on a tabletop easel.
This panel comes gift-boxed. The outer packaging is generally repurposed.
Care. Dust with a soft dry brush rather than a damp cloth, and no household cleaners. Terracotta can be used inddors and outdoors, but bear in mind it will ‘weather’ if displayed outdoors.
